I awoke to the sound of my sister knocking on my door and pulling the blankets off my warmed body. When my skin came into contact with the cool and crisp air I was left with little goosebumps up and down my arms and legs."Come on angel, time to get ready. Today is the day. I hope you get a good role in your talent show! I can't wait to see it! I know how much you like my gold angel wing necklace so I set it on your desk, for good luck. I have to go to work now. See you around 5 okay beautiful?" and with that she opened my blinds letting the bright sun shine down into my room and left. She got a new job at Starbucks a few days ago so I saw her hop into her car and drive off. I got dressed into this and put my backpack over my shoulder and headed down stairs for a quick bowl of cheerios.
I hopped in my new car and picked up my friend Bailey and one of my other friend Ricky on the way to school. When we got there I was so nervous. I really wanted a leading role in the musical this year. Val got me into singing a few years ago but I was always too shy to audition but this year I've started becoming really popular so I feel more confident about it this year. My other friends Bailey, Ricky, Stefan and Nicole (Nicky) can't sing ... at all so they are only coming for support. We've been friends since I've gotten more popular. That's why Val doesn't trust them. But she doesn't know them like I do. They will be there for me. I just know it. :) Bailey and Nicky are like obsessed with fashion so of course they did a touch up on my make up and made me spin around a couple times to grade my outfit choices. I got a 5 out of 10. Oh well. Ricky and Stefan couldn't come because they had football during my additions and Nicky had some fashion emergency that required Bailey too so I ended up going to my auditions alone. because there were so many people who wanted to be in the talent show every year you had to give a short example of your talent and they would say if you could go on or not because the previous years people would do stupid stuff or they were just plain horrible so some cant go on. wow. The longer I saw the other auditions the more nervous I got. some of these kids were really good. There was this girl who could do so many flips and a ballet dancer. And here I was. A singer. Exciting. There were a few others. A girl named Vivian who played the piano a few girls who sang together. Really good. a boy named Isaac who played the guitar and sang. he was actually cute. He sat right next to me after his audition and we talked a little. He was from England and moved here so he has a slight English accent. it's super cute if you ask me. I wonder why I haven't noticed him around before. Huh? "That's you" i heard him say. Great. It was my turn. I got up on the stage and Introduced myself. "What's your name, talent, and age?" The principle said. "Uh-um... hi. I'm 16... my name is Ari, or Ariana. Sorry. And I guess I'm going to sing." "You 'guess'?" "sorry. I - I AM going to sing. The song 'A thousand years' by Christina Perri" "Okay, Go ahead" The music started and I began the words. I loved this song. The music started and I just stared at Isaac. I don't really know him but from what I've learned, I think he will fit in really well with my group of friends! I don't know why I looked at him while I sang but I didn't really know anyone else in the room.
After my song the principle told me I had passed and to go back to class. Isaac was actually in a lot of my classes. I don't know why I never noticed him! he was cute, nice and had a freaking English accent! Then I figured out why....
